Shipping and delivery
Within Norway
All prices include VAT. We offer free shipping on orders over NOK 4,000. For orders below this amount, shipping is calculated based on postal code, weight, and size-you will see the available options at checkout.
Your order will normally be processed within 24 hours (weekdays) after it has been placed.
If the jewellery is in stock, it will be shipped within 3 working days. We always aim to deliver as quickly as possible. Depending on the destination within Norway, delivery time is typically 1–6 working days. If an item is not in stock, we will inform you of the expected delivery time.
We ship your order with Posten’s climate-neutral service parcel. This means that Posten is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transport and compensating for the remaining emissions. Read more at posten.no/miljo. You will be notified when your parcel has arrived via SMS, email, or a collection notice.
Unclaimed or refused shipments will be returned to us at the customer’s expense. The customer will be charged for return shipping to and from Juhls’ Silver Gallery.
If damage occurs during transport and there is visible damage to the packaging, please sign for the parcel with reservation and contact us so we can assist you. If the parcel has been delivered directly to your mailbox, please keep the packaging and the product and bring them to your local post office, where you will receive a damage report form. Please follow Posten’s procedures. This is necessary for us to process a replacement.
International Shipping and Delivery
For international shipments, Norwegian VAT (25%) will be deducted.
We use DHL for all shipments outside Norway, and they handle customs clearance in the destination country. This means you will receive a separate invoice for VAT and any applicable fees based on your country.
Shipping costs are calculated based on postal code, weight, and size-you will see the available options at checkout.
If the jewellery is in stock, it will be shipped within 3 working days. We always aim to deliver as quickly as possible. Delivery time is approximately 10–15 working days. If an item is not in stock, we will inform you of the expected delivery time.
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship jewellery to Russia due to import regulations.
Unclaimed or refused shipments will be returned to us at the customer’s expense. The customer will be charged for return shipping to and from Juhls’ Silver Gallery.
If damage occurs during transport and there is visible damage to the packaging, please sign with reservation and contact us so we can resolve the situation.

Right of withdrawal/returns
How do I return an item?
If the jewellery does not fit or you wish to return it for any other reason, you have a full right of return or exchange within 14 days of receiving the item.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us by email before the deadline expires. You must also inform us how you wish to return the item.
The item must be returned in the same condition and quantity. If the item is damaged or diminished in value due to negligence or lack of care on the part of the customer, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised.
The item must be returned complete and in its original packaging. You are responsible for the return shipment, and we recommend using a shipping method that provides tracking and compensation in case the item is lost or damaged in transit. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer (cf. Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act §15, first paragraph).
Refunds will be issued within one week after we have received the returned item.
Returns from Abroad
If the item is returned from outside Norway, it is very important to include a proforma invoice and clearly state that the item is being returned.
Please contact your local post office for assistance. This ensures that Juhls’ Silver Gallery is not charged VAT or import fees upon receiving the return. If this is not properly declared, we may be forced to refuse the shipment.
If you wish to exchange the item for another product or size, we recommend contacting your local customs office for information about import regulations. These rules vary between countries, and it is important to clarify this to avoid being charged VAT again.
Even if your right of withdrawal has expired, you still have the right to make a complaint if the item has defects or faults.

Claims and complaints
All jewellery is carefully inspected for defects before it is offered for sale. Should there nevertheless be a fault or defect, this will be treated as a complaint, and we will cover the return shipping costs.
If a defect is present, you must notify us within a reasonable time after discovering it. The right to make a complaint applies for up to two years from the date the item was received.

Size guide
Bracelets
A bracelet should sit lightly against the wrist. Use a measuring tape to find your size—remember to add 5–10 mm for a comfortable fit.
Bangles
A bangle is most beautiful when it fits as closely as possible. However, it must still pass over your hand. Differences in bone structure and the softness of the wrist will affect which size fits best. If you already own a bangle, you can measure its diameter to find your correct size.
Link Bracelets
A link bracelet should not fit too tightly, but rest loosely and move freely on the wrist. Measure your wrist with a measuring tape. The length of the links determines the available size options. Choose the one that fits you best by adding a little extra length for a comfortable fit.
Komsekule – Length Guide
When choosing the length of a Komsekule, it is helpful to keep in mind that, due to its shape, it is most beautiful when worn just below the bust, allowing the sphere to hang freely.
Link Necklace
This necklace is most beautiful when worn close to the neck. To find the right length, measure around your neck. The shoulder clasp also affects the total length. The length of the links determines the available size options. Choose the one that fits you best by adding a little extra for a comfortable and elegant fit.
Collar Necklace
To find the right size, keep in mind that a collar should sit closely around the neck—although this is also a matter of personal taste and style. If you plan to wear it over a high-neck sweater, it should be large enough to accommodate this. Measuring around your neck will give a good indication, combined with the available size options.
Rings
Print the size guide available as a PDF under rings. Place a ring you already own, in your desired size, on the sheet. Find the circle that best matches the inner diameter.
Please note that ring size may vary depending on the design. Wider rings often require going up one size. Also keep in mind that temperature affects your fingers—when warm, fingers may swell. Always measure at normal room temperature and consider how your fingers typically respond to temperature.
Care of silver jewelry
Silver will naturally oxidise (tarnish) and darken over time, as it reacts with oxygen in the air. In addition, silver and copper (which silver jewellery contains) form a chemical reaction with sulphur. Sulphur can be found in certain cosmetics and in the air from sources such as oil heaters, among others, and contributes to tarnishing.
To ensure you enjoy your jewellery for as long as possible, we recommend that you always store it in an airtight or sealed plastic bag. All jewellery purchased from us is delivered in such a bag.
Try to avoid contact with hairspray and perfume. When wearing Sámi gákti silver or traditional bunad silver, it is advisable to cover the jewellery with a cloth when using such products. Hand cream and fingerprints may also leave unwanted marks.
For gákti belts, we know that rubber-based textile glue and some dyes may contain sulphur. We therefore recommend purchasing a new belt well in advance of use and allowing it to air out. For belts with silver buttons, we recommend wrapping the belt lengthwise in plastic film before rolling it.
Simple tips for maintaining your silver
Fingerprints, food residue, and similar can easily be removed using mild soapy water (for example dishwashing liquid such as Zalo) and a soft toothbrush. Do not scrub harshly-clean gently and carefully.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm running water. First dry the silver with paper (kitchen roll), and then preferably with a hairdryer. Leave it to rest for a few hours to ensure it is completely dry before placing it back in the plastic bag.
Do not use toothpaste or abrasive cleaning products, as these will damage the polished surface of the silver.
If the silver is tarnished, you can dip it in a liquid silver cleaning solution, available in most grocery stores. It is important not to leave the jewellery soaking, but to dip it with movement and circulation. If left in the solution, the silver may become dull or discoloured, requiring professional polishing.
Rinse thoroughly under running water, and again you may use a mild dishwashing liquid. Pay special attention to settings with stones to ensure that all cleaning residue is removed. It is important to dry the jewellery thoroughly, as described above.
Do not use silver polishing cream, as it can settle into crevices and is difficult to remove completely.
What about gemstones?
Jewellery or gákti silver with glass stones can safely be cleaned using silver dip solution.
When it comes to precious and semi-precious stones/gemstones care requirements vary. For example, jewellery with pearls, lapis lazuli, or turquoise must never be dipped in silver cleaning solution.
If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us.
If you are unable to restore your jewellery to its original condition, you are welcome to send it to us. We use specialised methods that can only be carried out by skilled professionals in our workshop. Your jewellery will be returned to you looking as new.

Visit us
Under the same roof as the gallery and shop, our own jewellery is designed, crafted, and sold, created in our workshop in Kautokeino. The gallery also presents a curated selection of Nordic applied art, alongside crafts from other parts of the world.
We are located 2,5 km from the centre of Kautokeino, clearly signposted from the Esso gas station.
We offer free admission and complimentary guided tours, giving insight into the structure of the building and the connection between architecture, art, and craftsmanship.
There is also a simple café, where you can sit down and experience the place at your own pace.
Juhls Silvergallery also serves as a venue for concerts and cultural events.
This is not a place to rush through. We recommend allowing plenty of time for your visit, and we encourage you to join a guided tour to fully appreciate the connections between all elements.
