Juhls' Silvergallery

On your way to the North Cape or from there back to 'Europe' (via Finland and Sweden) you travel across the Tundra of Lapland. In the midst of its wonderful expanse is Kautokeino, the secret capital of the Laps (Samit). A little way out into the countryside with a prime view of the town you will find Juhls' Silvergallery - for decades now one of the most popular destinations in North Norway. Here you need time!

- After a long drive through untouched countryside you should take a break here and again take pleasure in what man can accomplish when he lets his creative spirit roam whilst he is using his hands. Juhls' Silvergallery is a house for good artistic craft and a pearl of personal architecture. The builders always agreed that the life in isolation, far away from large cities, fashions and trends was the prerequisite to being able to develop their creativity.

Even if you are in a hurry you should allow at least one and a half hours for visit and take up the friendly offer of an interesting, free guided tour, as your stay will be so much more worthwhile if the significance of individual rooms and their connection with one another are explained.
